Seema is a fertility specialist, obstetrician and gynaecologist with many years of experience. She is known for her caring, thorough and considerate approach to patients. In addition, Seema is highly regarded for her ability to individualise treatment, and support women through their patient journey, from initial investigations up to their first trimester. Her strong experience has been built through her work internationally, having held posts in India, the Middle East and New Zealand. After completing her medical training with distinction, Seema worked in India at a busy Government maternity hospital in Hyderabad. Following this, she pursued her career in obstetrics and gynaecology at Government affiliated hospitals in Riyadh and Gassim in Saudi Arabia. Seema then spent ten years in New Zealand, working at the Auckland City, Middlemore and North Shore Hospitals. Since arriving in Australia, Seema has worked at some of Sydney’s most highly regarded medical centres, including St. George Public & Private Hospitals, and the Royal Hospital for Women. Seema is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and has completed subspeciality training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Her areas of specialist interest are PCOS, recurrent miscarriage, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, laparoscopic surgery and menopause. Seema has been involved in multiple research projects, covering areas including PCOS, endometriosis, poor response to IVF treatment and male infertility. Through her research, she has seen positive outcomes for women with clomiphene resistant PCOS, and for women undergoing a laparoscopic ovarian drilling procedure; with no long term effects on their ovarian reserve. She is an associate faculty member of F1000 for endometriosis, and regularly reviews article for national and international medical journals. Seema consults from IVFAustralia’s Castle Hill & Westmead clinics. She undertakes gynaecology procedures at City West day surgery and Sydney Adventist Hospital. Seema is fluent in Hindi and Urdu; she is also able to converse in Arabic and Telugu.
